You can find us in the middle of the Guadarrama Mountains National Park, in Valsaín, which is 3 km away from The Royal Site of San Ildefonso and 10 kilometres away from Segovia. As you may know, Segovia is a UNESCO World Heritage City. It is not a bad place, isn’t it?
The 2018 International Adventure Conference will have three venues.
During the first day (Tuesday, 30th of January), the Conference will take place at María Zambrano Campus (Segovia)
The last morning will take place at Royal Site of San Ildefonso
All the other days it will take place at the National Centre for Environmental Education (CENEAM)
If arriving by plane:
The best and closest option is the Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas International Airport. It is located an hour away from Segovia, either by bus or train.
After leaving the airport and before going to Segovia, you must take the underground (Metro) to Chamartin train station or to Moncloa bus station.
Once you are in Segovia train station or bus station, you should go to Maria Zambrano Campus (Plaza de la Universidad, 1).
- You may go to Segovia by bus from Madrid (Moncloa bus interchange) and you will arrive at Segovia bus station (Bus Station Square)
- You may go to Segovia Guiomar train station by high-speed train (AVE), both from the North (from Valladolid) or from the South (from Madrid). When arriving at Segovia Guiomar train station, you should take bus number 12 and get off opposite Andrés Laguna High School; or take bus number 11 and get off next to the bullring.
- You may go to Segovia by conventional train, arriving at Segovia train station and having connected before in Cercedilla with Madrid Cercanías train. However, this train takes a long time and does not have a regular schedule.
How to reach the National Centre for Environmental Education (CENEAM):
If you choose public transport, the metropolitan bus includes a wide schedule from Segovia bus station (Bus Station Square) or from any of other stops; for example, the bullring bus stop. You must get off at Valsaín stop, which is next to the church. You can download the schedule HERE.
If you prefer going by bike, you can take a bike path which leads you to Valsaín from Segovia, next to CL-601 (12 kilometres). Another possibility is La Fuenfría Port. You must cross Guadarrama Mountains National Park through forest tracks, following the Pilgrim’s Roads in Madrid from Cercedilla (6 kilometres). If you want to go from Cercedilla to Madrid, you will only have to take the train (Madrid Cercanías).

Cómo llegar aquí
La International Adventure Conference 2018 (#IAC18) tendrá tres sedes. Para el primer día (martes 30 de enero) será el Campus Universitario “María Zambrano” de Segovia, para la última mañana el Real Sitio de San Ildefonso y para el resto el Centro Nacional de Educación Ambiental (CENEAM).
Para llegar en Avión:
La mejor opción y más cercana es el Aeropuerto internacional de Madrid-Barajas. Se encuentra a una hora de Segovia, por tren o autobús.
Para venir a Segovia tendrás que enlazar por Metro o tren de Cercanías las estaciones de tren (Chamartín) o de autobús (Moncloa) .
Para llegar a Segovia y al Campus Universitario “María Zambrano”:
- Autobús de línea regular desde Madrid (Intercambiador de Moncloa) para llegar a la Estación de Autobuses de Segovia (Plaza Estación de Autobuses, s/n, Segovia).
- Tren de alta velocidad: llegando a Segovia en la estación “Segovia-Guiomar” desde el norte por Valladolid y desde el sur por Madrid. Para llegar a la ciudad desde esta estación, cogier la Línea 12 de Urbanos de Segovia y bajar en parada “Instituto Andrés Laguna” o la Línea 11 y bajar en la Plaza de Toros.
- Tren convencional: estación “Segovia”, enlazando en Cercedilla con Cercanías de Madrid. Este tren tarda mucho y no tiene horarios frencuentes.
Cómo llegar al Centro Nacional de Educación Ambiental (CENEAM):
Si optas por el transporte público, hay un amplio horario de Autobús Metropolitano desde la estación de autobuses de Segovia (Plaza Estación de Autobuses, s/n, Segovia) o desde cualquiera de las paradas intermedias (por ejemplo, Plaza de Toros). Debes bajarte en la Parada de Valsaín situada frente a la Iglesia. Descarga los horarios AQUÍ.
Si vienes en bici, tienes la posibilidad de cogre un carril que te llevará a Valsaín desde Segovia, junto la CL-601 (12Km). Otra opción para venir en bici es el Puerto de La Fuenfría. Atravesando el Parque Nacional de la Sierra de Guadarrama por pistas forestales, siguiendo el Camino de Santiago de Madrid desde Cercedilla (26Km). A Cercedilla se llega muy bien en tren de Cercanías Madrid.
